  1. UGH, I couldn't even watch it myself after reading the description.  That oughta scar a kid for life.  Disgusting.  I don't even understand why someone would make that, let alone have a child watch it.

  2. YES!! all it is a different way of telling kids NOT TO STEAL!!..its the muslim way... maybe if we taught  that to our kids there would be less theft in the world. it just shows that when you do something wrong. that something will happen... my 2 youngest just watched it with me...at least it teaches a moral. just because its in a different way doesnt make it wrong.

  3. NO!!! i couldnt watch the video but just reading the description i would NEVER let my kids watch that kind of stuff when i have kids

  4. strange yes, even stranger? the girl kept laughing at the thought of chopping off the rabbits hand and jokes about cutting off his ear. i think that would cause nightmares in small children

  5. My child would definitely NOT be allowed to watch that. Very... odd.

  6. Well look at where the show is from. Think about what some of those children are taught to do over there...

No, my kids wouldn't watch that, but who knows, maybe that's considered normal.

    Best Wishes =]

  7. I watched the video.  I am not Muslim, so I dont know about all that.  The point of the video is to literally be afraid of doing wrong, in this case stealing, because the punishment would be so severe.

For those who didnt watch the video, its a girl, with a bunny (person in bunny suit).  The bunny has stolen, so the girl has to tell what he did and ask for the punishment.  At the end, they say that if bunny has apologized and promises not to do it again, then that is fine.  They do not actually chop any hands off.

I will say, if kids were that afraid of doing things like stealing, or whatever else, then we would have a lot more well behaved kids who dont walk all over their parents.

  8. I couldn't see the video, but based on the description there is seems pretty sick. What we see as a "normal thinking" person isn't always the same to other people, is it?

  9. This is the fundamental difference between the West and Middle East. As much as we want to think everyone has a Western mentality and are humane, in a lot of Middle Eastern cultures, there seems to be no room for grace.

Did you see that news article, video and/or pictures about those two women who ran a brothel that were both sentenced to death (they were both shot 5 and 6 times)? It's sad but is really part of life in that culture. :(

And NO, I would NEVER let my kids watch that. I believe in teaching them not to steal, but not because they will be mutilated, but because it's wrong and makes God sad-not because they will get some horrible consequence-YIKES!

  10. I found it sad that the viewer child said to chop off his hand. My kids would have cried if they saw that and probably have been traumatized, if it were on American TV- and if they believed the hand might really get chopped off.

My kids don't even know what stealing is. I guess my oldest does, but they have never thought to take something that wasn't there's.

Someone took my oldest daughters notebook once and she cried because she thought her mommy didn't *teach her good enough.*

  11. It's not the first time I see this video and it's really not as bad as some people here make it sounds. Some of what I see every day on "kids" tv show is a lot worse.

This is a teaching video that shows kids the consequences of doing something wrong (or following evil) like stealing.

It also shows that those Muslim kids know what's right from wrong. They don't steal just because they're afraid to get their hands cut off, but also because they believe Allah is watching them.

Also, did you know that Saudi Arabia (as mentioned in the video) as one of the lowest crime rate in the world... that's because the punishment for crimes are high... as opposed to the slap on the wrist you get elsewhere.

They weren't going to cut of the bunny's hands off anyways. They said that as long as he repents and promises not to do it again, he was fine!

I'm also not surprised to see that people who haven't even SEEN the video are condemning it just based on the description. Good job!!! Hope none of you work for the supreme court!!
