  1. ...

Hi, Josh, I would agree - mostly because there are so many events, and so many different kinds of events requiring extremely different kinds of muscular effort.

Consider the field events, the sprints, the relays, the distance events; and consider that each of these categories of events are futher broken down into sub-categories, each requiring its own specific type of training and race strategy.

To some extent, T&F is really a conglomerate of a number of very different sports.

  2. It certainly is.

Not ust the diversity of events, also the events itself.

Pole Vault takes a lot of technique

Javelin strength (as well as technique of course)

Running events (especially the long ones) require perfect pacing

Sprints are full of adrenalin for runners and spectators

    And so on.

    I love Track&Field

  3. yes it takes not only the body of an athlete but there are a lot of mental things and a lot of things to remember and think about I agree with you 100% it is a lot more then running around the track!!

    Keep running,

    Live the running gal

  4. yes i would. especially in field events and in relays.

  5. pppfff no.
