one about theme parks and their rides.....or one about marine mammals?

would anyone be interested..just to even quickly look at one of these types of forums..or maybe even join?

Well out of those two...probably the theme parks. It would be fun because everyone loves them. But it depends if your a huge animal lover or not. You have to make a forum that your really interested in otherwise you'll get bored of it and that results in the your members getting bored as well.

Picking a popular topic is always the key because than a lot would go to it.

A forum on theme parks could work, people could rate rides & describe experiences, but marine mammals not so much I think. Discussion is limited. " I like sharks"...."me too"

In conclusion: Theme Parks - Yes. Mammals - No.
