On September 28th I will be a team captain for the Law Office of William J. Brisk -Elder Law Office in Newton Center.This is the Alzheimer’s Association 16th Annual Memory Walk at CambridgeSide Galleria in Cambridge, MA. Although I don’t have a personal connection to the disease, we have clients that have loved ones with this very serious disease. This degenerative disease destroys the brain’s ability to remember, reason and make judgments – which means over time it destroys our ability to speak, to walk, to feed and clothe ourselves, to laugh, to hug…even to recognize the faces of our closest family members. Alzheimer’s affects over four million Americans and that number will grow rapidly over the next century.
