nothing is for sale right now, but I plan on selling prints of my art. i'm trying to see if people are interested now or if I should plan otherwise.

of course i'd be changing the backgrounds of pretty much everything, and giving recoloring and texture to much of it, but on the most part, how are you people feeling towards it?

  1. nah, i wouldnt.

  2. Its not my taste but others might like it. I probably wouldn't buy art even if I could afford it. I'm just not the type of person who wants to collect art. I think if you want others to buy your art then you need to go to the commercial market like in illustration or graphic design.

  3. I'm sure that some people would like it, but I might not sell it for 15 a print. You seem to be rather talented, but I'm not too sure about the subject matter of your pieces. If you have a particular audience your aiming for, try selling to them first to get your work out there.

  4. I wouldn't buy it...I would probably just draw something on my own. :P If I really, really, wanted the drawings you were selling, I'd save them to my computer and print them out myself.

Because of the number of people selling things like this, I think it will be difficult. Prints are very impractical and many people prefer paintings any way. In addition to that, you'll have to compete with all of the really amazing super-artists who are selling their prints online also. You might want to try putting your art on something more practical, i.e. maybe place mats, mugs, or cellphone covers.

I think doing that will definitely increase your odds of selling, but I'm not fully aware of how you would go about doing all of that, either.

I know that websites like http://www.zazzle.com/ let you make and sell custom things like mugs, cards, and t-shirts online, but I don't know how you would sell them through eBay.

Um, basically what I'm saying is...I probably wouldn't buy a print from you, but something like your sketch of Spawn might work for me as a cellphone cover or coaster.
