  1. try looking for a supplement with peppermint, hyssop, black walnut, magnesium and bentonite

  2. One of the ways to get long term relief from IBS is to take the following:

    - Turmeric (yes, the one you use for cooking) – 1 teaspoonful in a glass of water 4-5 times a day for one week to coat the intestine wall and calm the inflammation.

    - Then take "Slippery Elm" in Mother Tincture (liquid) (latin name = Ulmus Fulva or Ulmus rubra - don't take Ulmus Campestris as it has completely different properties) . I would take 30 drops 3 times a day for 2 to 3 weeks. This is to heal the walls of the stomach after the inflammation has been reduced by the Turmeric.

Slippery Elm gets more and more difficult to find, but it is really efficient to stop gastric and intestinal inflammation. Can be ordered on Internet if you don't find it at your nearest pharmacy.

    Wishing you all the best!

  3. what are the name of the tablets he has given you,

have you got stomach cramps , then i would go to a late night

chemist and buy some  pepermint oil , colpermin.

they are very good , and will help,

but go back to dr and tell them , that they are not working

    have you got acid reflux.

then you need some gastro -reflux tablets ,

do not leave it any longer , it could get worse.

i have ibs , iknow what it iss like .

    hope you feel better soon.

    good luck.      liz

  4. Get back to your doctor and let him know that the tablets don't work for you,may be able to give you something else.

Try a hot water bottle on your stomach,it helps me a bit.

Try a low fibre diet, I know everyone tells you to have a high fibre one but this just made me worse!

There are anti spasmodics the doctor can give you, don't work for me but everyone is different and it's certainly worth a try.
