ok so my one cat wont touch hard food at all. her stomach wont handle it. she wolfs down her food, so when she tries to eat the hard food she throws it up. ive even tried mixing the hard food in with the soft food, but she wont touch it. we've resulted to feeding her just the soft food. ive read that a diet of just soft food is bad for a cats teeth, but some soft food is good for their coat. also i think she might be underweight. she weighs about 8lbs while our other cat who eats hard food weighs about 25lbs. andy advice??

  1. my advice is to take your cat to the vet. he/she might have an answer to what your cat's problem is.

    good luck

  2. 8lbs is light and healthy. 25 lbs is soooo overweight. She just doesn't like the crunchy stuff. Does she drink anything? If she's used to wet food she won't need much liquid and may nor realise that dry food should be taken with liquids. Try cat milk from the supermarket. Get her teeth checked out next time you see your vet for jabs. Otherwise, just give her what she likes and be happy that she's happy.

  3. I think if she can't stomach dry food then wet food is fine you may have to have more dental care for her. As for weight 8 pounds is about right for a female cat depending on breed. 25 lbs is HUGE for a cat! Maybe he is overweight. Rule of thumb is you should be able to easily feel the ribs but not see them, when looking at a cat from above you should be able to see a definite "waist".
