Is it good for tea? Does it get the water hot? Does anyone rate it or are other kettles better?

  1. Great for coffee totally useless for tea.It produces hot not boiling water and therefore is no good for making a cup of tea

  2. It doesn't boil the water, which is ideal for coffee but not for tea. However, I've become used to it, so it doesn't really bother me now. At least it's cool enough to drink straight away! I've not found anywhere selling the filter cartridges, though.

And... for some reason, tea-bag-in-a-cup using the Tefal tastes better if it's a large wide cup rather than a tall thin mug - not sure why!
