Would anyone recommend the changing over of a bank account from EURO to US dollar?

and if no, then does that mean that holders of US dollars should change into EUROs? look at drop in exchange over the last five years. five more years of that? dollar coming back. likely? lasting?

  1. Dollar will boost again. Europe is facing high inflation and recession. USA's economy is showing +ve changes. Once after the election, there are chances to increase the interest and more investment will come in dollar. Its time to invest in dollar.


  2. no, but that also doesn't mean that dollar holders should change to euros, although for the short term, the euro might hold its value better. the euro has its own problems, and may not last as a currency in the long term. i myself wouldn't hold *any* dollars if i didn't have to.

    if you have the wherewithal and want to diversity your currency holdings, i'd look into:

    CHF - for longer term stability;

    singapore dollar - probably the CHF of the East;

    RMB Yuan - still undervalued relative to dollar.

    and i also think one should have 10% of one's holdings in Gold, which is screaming bargain right now...
