Would anyone recommend using Audacity to look at EVPs?

Ive seen friends use it to make little projects and stuff but that thought has been in my mind for a while.....

good idea or not?

  1. Yeah Audacity would be alright for listening to EVP's. I've used for a while now and it has a pretty good noise filter on it. Which as im sure you probably know that will come in handy


  2. Audacity works ok but wavepad is much better, at least in my opinion.    It is also a free program.

  4. Audicity has been used by a number of ghost hunters through the years. They enjoy it due to its most important feature, being free. Those that can afford it, typically use Adobe Audition (formally CoolEdit Pro). If you look enough, you can generally find a trial version floating around on the Internet. If you need directions for cleaning up EVPs with it, feel free to message me and I can forward you a copy.

  5. I have never used it, but I have used wavepad pro.  Pretty easy to use.  Will have to try Audacity sometime.

  6. Isn't audacity what they're made of? :)
