Hey,

I am writing a book about a murder case, however I have very very limited law & court knowledge.

I am looking for someone to contact VIA email and ask questions. This person will be on my thank you list once my book is published.

You will not be rushed to answer, I will respect your time and privacy.

Please contact me on my email, or leave an answer and I will contact you back!

Thanks so much!

  1. I doubt it, if you're in California the law and the ethics are very difficult, and the same have a time frame. Tip: in my opinion, you pay offer is little to none, and a lawman doesn't have that kind of time. See if you can get help some place else.

  2. if this is based on a murder case/actual events you would do better research...contacting state or place where occurred as each us individual states have different laws et cetera...

if you are attempting to make up a realistic situation contact...your local police dept..for info and you could always try university for assistance..

if u attended university..ossibly your fellow alumni could assist with a connection...

  3. I'll bet if you went to the local prosecuting attorney's office, you could find an assistant prosecutor who could help answer questions and suggest more things to add to the book.  Or, go to any criminal lawyer and ask for help.  Just maybe they would agree, and know about what you need to find out.  Or, a retired lawyer would have more time for this, and maybe take a better interest in it.  Older deputies and police detectives could help in police procedures,  and forensics which maybe you haven't thought about yet.  Good luck, and happy trails.

EDIT:  I didn't see what you added on until too late, so I'll say that even on a small island, the police may have studied police sciences in order to qualify for the job---just in case someone DOES commit a murder, they wouldn't look and act like Barney Fife on Andy Griffin show.
