Would cherry and apple trees grow in hawaii.?

I am moving to the big island and buying a few acres. i want to plant bing cherry trees from home and some apple trees on the property. will they survive in a tropical climate very slow to sea level. Great soil and plenty of rain!

You'd need to be at an elevation that would have 100-300 chill hours (hours of temperature between 32 and 45 degrees) each year.  Then you could grow apples like Dorsett Golden (from the Bahamas), Anna, and other low chill types.  For cherry trees, until recently there was nothing even close.  But now we have the Royal Lee and Minnie Royal cherry trees(you need both for pollination purposes) that apparently need 200-300 chill hours.  People are growing them in Southern California and reporting great tasting fruit.
