  2. It sounds BAD but I have seen pics- because I am thinking of the same thing. It works. I think its important to do a light colored tie for the guys. Do what you like!   I cant find a pic-sorry!

  3. No way! That doesn't sound pretty. I was in a wedding where the groomsmen wore chocolate tuxedos. It was very nice. Maybe you could call to local shops and inquire about them.

  4. I think it would look GREAT!!  My bridesmaid's dresses are chocolate brown.  The groomsmen have regular black tuxes with sage green vests and ties.  I also have a bridesman, who will be wearing a black tux with a chocolate brown vest and tie.  This combo was actually on display at the tux shop and it looked great!!

  5. I actually think it would have a nice contrast.

My company hosted a swanky fundraiser and the theme colours where Brown and Pink, the men all wore tuxes and the women hosting wore brown w/ pink .

    I really liked the look.

Go to Home Depot and pick up some paint swatches in the colours you are considering. Look at them together and see if you like them :-)

  6. I don't care for that,  I think it's too dark and it brings to mind for me a bear or a gorilla.  I think you need some contrast between the suits and dresses.  If you do dark dresses, do light jackets with a small element (such as cummerbunds and ties or just pocket scarves) that matches, and it doesn't have to match exactly.  If you do light dresses, do darker suits.

UPDATE/ESPONSE:  The problem is that you're now integrating a lot of colors into just the clothing and I'm concerned that it's going to look too busy.  They do, incidentally, make very nice, formal brown suits, some with tails, for the men in a wedding.  Perhaps go with brown and pink for the men and the women.  Don't do major pink accessories for the men.  You can give the guys boutonnieres made of baby's breath and pink sweeheart roses and have them wear sort of a dusty pink striped shirt and perhaps a pink tie, but I'd go primarily brown(s) with the suit.

Here's a picture of what too much pink looks like on a guy.  I'm not sure if this is your wedding or you're a wedding planner looking for tips on handling this color scheme, but the bride and you have to decide if you like this look.  Personally, I think that past one's senior prom, there really is no pulling off this look, but if you disagree, please ignore my opinion and go for it.

and that suit is plain black and pink - can you imagine what you'd have going on if you start throwing brown into it?

Now this suit, is beige on brown.  You can do that, because it's essentially tone-on-tone and doesn't create the busyness.  You bring the pink in with the bottoniere and possibly by integrating a shirt with a brown and pink stripe or paisley, or a  solid shirt with a similar tie, seen below.

Maybe you could make a tie like this work:

Y'KNOW, I REALLY HOPE it isn't the questioner thumbs-downing everyone who doesn't like the combination.  If all you wanted was someone to tell you brown, pink, and black are great together, just say so.

  7. that doesnt sound good. mayb have the dresses pink with brown ribbon.

  8. No, I am sorry but they would not look good. Brown and black together you have to be careful with. Please think this through before you decide. Everyone remembers weddings. You do not want the wedding to be remembered as the wedding that had the awful color arrangement. The colors alone are good colors. You should rethink one of them though.

    Good luck.

  9. Not at all.

the dresses should have black ribbon and pink ribbon to match the tux.

then males should have brown vests to match the dress.

the ties  have brown, pink, black pattern to finish everything off.

other wise it just going to look like a miss match.

  10. not feeling it, I would go with choc brown tuxes with pink vests

  11. I don't think so- but remember - it is the bride's big day and she should be happy with her choice :)

  12. Oh no,...  It doesn't sound attractive at all.  Have you thought about going with brown tuxes?  Deviating from the classic black tux has become extremely popular.  The last 5 weddings I attended, including my own went with something other than black.

  13. I had chocolate bridesmaid dresses... and I had brown suits... they looked terrific... blended really well... but I also looked & the black and they looked reall good too...  I think the colours will work together... my other colour was green... but the groom wore a white shirt and tie, and his groomsmen wore a white shirt and tie with a brown vest.  I was really amazed at how good they looked together.
