Would dark brown hair look good with black lowlights???

Question

im black and im tired of my same plain ol brown hair but i thought getting low lights would be less damaging to my hair.

if you have pictures that would be nice too.

My friend has the same color skin & hair and she got a burnette/red color highlights :):)

yes, if it is done right it is cool.  the timing has to be just right with the dye though.  have fun.

no, too dark, try some highlights, too dark and it looks emo

Yes- But get them done really chunky to look natural.

This way, the lighter brown will appear to look like highlights.

You don't  want skinny streaks of black going through, it will look fake.

I think it would look fine, I know one of my friends did that and her hair looked cool.

It usually works with the darker hair colours.

i would go for highlights, try a lighter shade of brown! like a caramel sort of colour!
