Would disposable clothing be a good idea?

It could be made cheaply out of recycled material even paper. If it is very cheap you would never wash it, just replace every day. Underclothing would be very practical but top clothing would be cheap as well if unisex and the same design. Used to be like that in China. Great saving to the planet with less use of washing powder. I already make briefs out of newspaper replacing twice a day.

  1. great idea ...paper clothing ! but what happens when it rains?

  2. You might be on to something there! get a pattern right on it straight away, before someone else does!

  3. No.

We live in a disposable society and that's why we have the landfill problems we already do.

What would be better is for people to stop being so narcissistic and vain and having to change their clothes every year because of what someone else decides is 'fashionable'.

  4. Yes lets all rush to create more waste.

No wait, we could send our paper clothes for recycling, maybe someone could discover how to turn them back into forests.

  5. They have had them in the past, and sell them now. Socks under shirts ,underware they currenty sell. They used to have outer clothes made from paper that you threw away after use. The airlines used them ,and the stewerts and stewertess wore them. They sold them in the late sixtys, early seventies. They still should,I think they need to do more with recycled stuff. They should make it mandatory to use recycled tires for sidewalks, roads. And if they can do that, then they can start making houses out of the rubber used from recycled tires . They would be safer in areas that have tornados, earthquakes and such . Save allot of lives too! Byee
