Would dropping a penny from atop the Empire State building really kill someone?

  3. hey wass up i seen on mythbuster on tv they tried it the only thing will happen you get bruised or major headache it feel like someone shooten a paintball at u, it wont kill u.

  4. Yes, because the force of gravity is pulling the penny down so fast that it is almost like a bullet.

  5. Somebody dropped a penny from the Sears Tower in Chicago and it almost cut through somebody's head. And i think it would do the same in the empire state.

  7. Absolutely not.

    Pennies reach terminal velocity (as fast as it can possibly go) before hitting the ground if dropped from 50 feet, so it's no different if dropped from the Empire State Building. Still, not enough force to hurt a person.
