Would eating espresso beans stain your teeth as much as drinking coffee?

Probably not.  When you chew espresso beans, they shatter into small fragments that are swallowed.  Coffee on the other hand, is a liquid extract whose particles are much, much smaller and thus able to permeate the tooth enamel and cause staining.  If you had bits of bean stuck in your teeth after eating the beans, those bits could stain the nearby teeth as your saliva slowly dissolves them into a liquid.  If you  swish some water in your mouth to wash away any particles you did not swallow, you should be able to avoid staining.


  2. they would probably stain your teeth just as equally. if you eat the beans you are getting the straight stuff that stains your teeth. if you just drink the coffee you are getting the beans in a fluid form. so its kind of the same in the way. if you want to eat them or drink coffee just brush your teeth more than 2 times a day.
