  1. yeah, it'll be nice. if roger is always at the right side and nadal at the left. they'll be very dominant in doubles. but i dont think they would team up. they would rather prefer to be opponents than  to be partners. just my opinion. :D

  2. no 2 players so unique and gifted should never be mixed together..... they are only good alone..

  3. of course they would. no. 1 and 2 in the world would be unstoppable.

  4. They'd be good to watch, as far as looks. Can you imagine a crowd full of swooning girls! LOL

  5. Nadal is already a good doubles player, ranked #19 in the world in doubles.  And Federer is obviously great at everything, including doubles, although he rarely plays.  Technically, they'd be an excellent doubles team, but a great team has to have chemistry, and although they seem to be friendly with each other, I think their rivalry necessitates a certain amount of distance between them, so I think that would probably hurt them as a doubles team.  A lot of the great rivalries in the game who at one point had the two players as doubles partners (and pretty successful at that), like Navratilova-Evert, and Graf-Sabatini, each of whom won the Wimbledon doubles title, but they eventually disbanded when their rivalries in singles became too intense.

  6. No doubt about it, Federer actually plays doubles with Yves Allegro (a good friend of his) at tournaments, so he has experience.

  7. they awesome combination

  8. Maybe. but their playing styles are completely opposite. It would be interesting to watch though.

  9. I don't think so, they both play a game more suitable for singles. Neither really close the net all that much since they're ground strokes usually are enough to win a point. A good doubles team, like the Bryan brothers would be able to take them because doubles strategy is very different from singles, shots are different (more about angles and far less about power).

  10. Definitely, because Federer is great at defense and does great amortis and Nadal is great at attack and does great closings.

They are the 1st and 2nd in the ranking so it would be a great combination.

Besides, they are both very handsome so it would become perfect! =P

    =)

  11. Yeah i think so. They both have good serves. They both seem ( =] ) to have respect for each other so in theory they should be able to work well together. They both have flaws but so will the other team. They should be able to overcome Nadal's net performance and Roger's baseline performance.

    Hope this helps <3

    XOXO Maggie

  12. Well probably.  I mean most of the really good tennis players play singles to earn more money.  So, I would think that the number 1 and 2 singles tennis playes would be good.  Although, Nadal will have to work on his volleys.  Personally, I think that they could beat the Bryan bros. if they practiced together for a while.

  13. The BEST.

With Rogers serve & volley skill and Rafa's serve & baseline game they should cover court nicely. They both have tonnes of quickness and speed. I would say Finalists if not Titleists.

  14. They might be but I think Federer's a singles player not doubles, he's No1 singles champ in the world and doubles highest ranking is world No24.

Dunno about Rafa cause I love Roger but I think they are both brillian single players and doubles wouldn't suit them :)

  15. Definitely! They'll be unstoppable!

  16. sure, 1 champ + 1 champ= awesome doubles team

  17. I don't think they'd be that great at doubles.  The reason is that doubles at that level requires a lot of team work as well as incredible volleying skills.

Federer is pretty good at the net, but he's not at the level of the doubles specialist.  Nadal is not good at all, so if they played together they'd have to hit some incredible passing shots since their opponent would most likely take the net away from them.

  18. Federer has the faster serve, and nadal has better ground strokes and both are powerful at net. Federer comes in more often, but Nadal is also great at it...just does'nt use it as much.

Both of their games are pretty much for singles. They would be a good team though. I think Feliciano Lopez and Nadal would be better of.

  19. I don't think so. They would both dominate the play and won't be used to teamwork. I don't think it would work at all.

  20. I think they would be pretty average. Nadal is weak at net compared to doubles players and his serve isn't that fantastic either (yeah its improved alot but I still don't rate it comapred to otehrs). I think Roger would be good at doubles but his volleying prob still isn't that much up to par. I don;t know why u people are talking about baseline games, havent u noticed they try 2 avoid the baseline in doubles?? And that Rogers baseline game is awesome?? Its ridiculous to say otherwise since he rarely comes to net.

Yeah i agree with the person who said the Bryan brothers etc would carve up.

  21. They would be on fire ;):P Unstoppable for sure hehe

Federer does have a good game from the baseline, its just Rafa is much better at it :P !!!! x*x

  22. surely it would me most better team in world. no will be able to beat the machine(RAFA) and FEDEX if anyone who will beat them will be just lucky. As both are top 2 atp rankers. This wuld be challenge to any player.AS PER ME THIS COMBINATION WOULD BE THE BEST COMBINATION.

  23. yes, becuase they are the #1(federer) and #2(nadal) ranked players. also nadal plays left handed and federer plays right handed so you have good coverage of the court.

  24. I would think so, Federer is amazing at the net, and at the baseline Nadal is almost unbeatable. But when they switch I don't know so much.

    But that's just my opinion.
