Would fiberglass batt insulation designed for 2 x 4 studs fit between 2 x 3 studs?

I couldn't find batts for 2 x 3 framed walls

Yep, no sweat.....you may have to push it down a little when you cover it.

It will fit, but it will compress the insulation which could make it harder to put sheet rock over it and could reduce the r value slightly.  But other than this there really shouldnt be a problem with using it.  Another alternative could be using styrofoam sheets which can be purchased in many different thicknesses, although not as environmentally friendly in the end.  Hope this helped.

you could but you might want to be careful cause it could cause the drywall to bulge in time. make sure that it's not sticking out to far, if not just peel some off and use the pieces in other places.

yes, dont use foam u would have to spend 3 times the money to get the same r-value....
