  1. I could guarantee one thing, if we all stopped driving and travelling for a week, the loss in revenue to the Govt and oil companies would be massive, they would soon bring prices down. It is all a big "con trick" and the "environmentalist" have jumped on the horse and galloping away with it. Agree we should not be wasteful but this really has gone too far now

  2. lol

and put a cork in the cows - apparently!

  3. It certainly could not hurt.   but what the chance of the morons doing something useful?

  4. Probably so, since that would leave only 6% of the population left, the same percentage of people believe that the lunar landing was a hoax:

"Seventy-one percent say that global warming is probably happening, 6 percent believe it is probably not happening..."

"A 1999 poll by the The Gallup Organization found that 89 percent of the US public believed the landing was genuine, while 6 percent did not..."

  5. sorry you find the threat of a mass extinction boring.

  6. No.  The CO2 we exhale is part of the natural carbon cycle.  It doesn't contribute to global warming, unlike the carbon released when we burn fossil fuels, which has been trapped for millions of years.

Sorry, did I just bore you?  Some people think learning is boring.  They tend to become janitors.

  7. oh yes.  x*x

  8. Something that does not exist cannot be cured. In other words, while the climate may be changing (i.e., weather) it is not human-made. Global warming has existed since the ice age ended. How's that for an inconvenient truth?

Thirty years ago, the alarmists were worried about global cooling! Now, it's the global warming that causes the global cooling. Did Yogi Berra say that? BTW, if the polar icecap is really melting, why are the Great Lakes lower? Where's all that ice water going?

To darren who wants world peace to stop global warming, why did the average temperature actually drop during the 1940's although the whole world was at war?

    - Manufacturing was at an all time high during that decade; and,

    - All the emissions from from wartime vehicles, ships, and planes that had absolutely no controls on the exhausts; and,

    - The pollution from guns and bombs,

    >>>Then why didn't the world warm up? World peace would be great, but to reduce suffering not increase the temperature...

  9. The Human Right to peace could reduce both military emissions and those from cars which private citizens own.

The Human right to own the planet and conserve planetary resources could stop it. There will be more noise about it unless someone joins peace groups in an effort to get these rights for citizens as once the rights are in humanity will have a chance otherwise they might drown from rising seas.

  10. Don't foget their methane!

  11. no we would decay and rot, giving off more CO3 and CH4 than we currently do, even the more flatulent of us.

Or we would be cremated and poison the environment with dioxins as well as CO2

  12. I don't know.  Why don't you go first?
