Would have this trade worked out good?

there was a time before this season when the tampa bay rays were thinking about trading carl crawford to the giants for tim lincecum and matt cain...crawford is having an off year and lincecum a cy young year,but yet crawford attracts alot of fans....a rotation of kazmir,shields,garza,lincecum,and cain would have been the best in the bigs no doubt..do u like that they didnt do the deal? or do u wish they would have? opinions please

Well, if the rays had gotten this deal done, it would have definitley improved their club, but the Giants would not have made this deal.

Linecum and Cain are two young pitchers, and Crawford is not that young anymore. The Rays would have have to have given more, probably an average prospect because of thier potentials

Wait, the Giants would have agreed to that, I have trouble believing that, If the Rays had gotten it done that would have been awesome

no.i would hate the rays-i like crawford so much!but upton or gomes would work!

There's no way the Giants would have traded Lincecum and Cain for Crawford.

I am guessing then the Rays would try to pull off a Cain for Dunn deal and then they got the power back! Just my opinion but i think it is a little favored towards the rays but not too much

I think the rays are doing good right now. If they would of had Lincecum and cain, they would be unstopable.  Their rotation is fine the way it is

I don't know if it wouldv'e worked out but I would have hated to see it happen.  Crawford has been a great player and a horrible team since he came into the league, its about time he gets his success.
