I'm around 5' 3". And the Kawasaki Ninja 650R is 50 inches. Will my height be an issue with this bike? Or will it be fairly comfortable?

  1. The important thing is the ride height.  I'm 6 foot tall but have a 30 inch inseam so some buikes are too tall for me.  There are things you can do to lower a bike, shorter shocks, slide the front tubes up on the clamps, even get an aftermarket seat.  Just the same, the best thing is to go to a dealership and sit on the bike.  That will tell more than anything.

  2. the one and only good advice i can give, is to make sure u are able to lift it. u have to be able to lift the bike off of you (by yourself) incase your ever in an accident.

  3. You should be able to put your feet flat on the ground when you are sittiong on the bike.  If you can't balance it, it's a no go.

  4. Like Mike L, I too am 6 feet tall with a 30" inseam. After 50 years of riding various machines, I have learned that it is not necessary to be able to touch down with both feet if you have learned to ride well. It is only necessary to pay attention to what you are doing when you stop, and when you do that, one toe on the ground is sufficient. This can be a problem on extremely rough ground, but the 900 pound motorcycle is not designed for rough ground. Riding as it was meant to be ridden, short legs are not a problem.

  5. LOL midget! j/k...not really sure...you aren't short really. that's not too bad.

  6. Go to a dealer and sit on one see if you are comfortable or not.
