  1. I live on a horse farm and have plenty of them critters running around. No, their pee does not make the grass die. If that were so, they'd have nothing to eat. Here in the country, we do use horse manure as a fertilizer but not the urine. That would just be nasty. Horse manure is not used when it's fresh, if you get my drift (and I hope you're standing down wind), but it dries up and looks like dried grass in a lawn that has been mown but not raked. There is no smell to it. As horses eat the best of the grasses, the manure would actually be good on your lawn and you'll soon discover just how expensive a truckload of it is. So, the next time someone uses the vulgar term regarding horsesh**, they really don't know what they are talking about. The manure also contains zillions of great grass seeds :)


  2. No because it contains salt and is acidic.  It would actually eventually kill the grass.
