Would humidifying a gig bag work?

I have an expensive Taylor. I'm not a fan of hardshell cases as they are cumbersome. I was wondering if I place my guitar with a humidifier in a gig bag, would that adequately humidify it? Thanks.

Well Today, I have just made, and put one in my gigbag. I have also the 'Planet Waves' Hygrometer so that should let me know what's going on inside the case. I live in a place where humidity level is 25% at the highest, so I'm hoping this works.
