Would i be a good mum?

whenever i get close to little kids i get really shy and i am 12

All my mates are really good with kids but i get shy when i go near them. I can't get to interact with them HELP ME!!!!

I was very shy around every one when i was younger. Being shy now does not mean you will be shy when the time comes for you to have children. I am still a very shy person but not when it comes to my children.

It's so different with your own. The good news is your child will probably be like you and you can teach them stuff.

don't worry about being shy around kids, you got a LONG  long time.

I knew someone that DIDN'T want kids because in his words "kids don't like me"

well I saw him around kids and he was just shy, BUT the kids loved him actually and he would play with them if they kept bugging them to, and he was the biggest kid of all and they loved him.

Well he grew up to have a kid and that kid thinks he is the greatest person alive, he is still shy around even his own kid but that KID loves him more than anything..

So if you think you won't be a good mum because you are shy that's just not true.

I know you are too young to be on here, but you sure asked a great mature grown up question.

It's natural. You just need to learn a little more on what kids like. I'm sure you'll make a great mother in due time. You just have to be patient.

um, you're 12.  I hope you're not a mum for a least another 10-15 years.  At that time, then you can worry about it.

DON'T WORRY.

I hated kids when I was 12, and I always said I'd never have kids all the way up through college.  

Now, I'm now married to the love of my life and we're expecting our first child in February.  We couldn't be happier.  

For the record, other people's kids still irritate me, but my kid will be awesome.  

Long story short: I'm sure the same thing will happen to you.  If you're worried enough now that you'll be a good mom, you will be.  Just give yourself time! You're not even a teenager yet!  :)

I was the same way at 12 years old but I am great around my kid now. With your kid it's totally different.
