  1. you could try. if you play safety you probably have decent speed. gain some weight though. even just 5 pounds would be cool. im 5'10 170 pounds and im a h**l of a runningback ha. but yeah, just try hard and put your mind to it and you can do it. just a tip - dont run straight up and down when you try out. run with authority. run slighty bent over and run hard good luck with it.

  2. No! You need to gain more weight before you do that or if you get hit you will get crushed. Try to get to at least 115 pounds then you can try to be one. But im tellin you im 16 and im a RB at my high school and if you get hit by one of those linebackers it hurts and can severly injure you.

  3. no one can tell u if your good or not without seeing you play & to answer your question just practice alot and you'll get better

  4. You can if that's what you want.  You have to show the coach what you got.  There will be many seasons ahead for you.  If this is a long term goal you need to start training for it.  Again go see the coach and get a program designed to make you an rb.

  5. well playing safety u need good footwork as well so theres a start i was a safety and runningback as well if u have a good burst of speed and strength u can do it its not all about jukeing and makeing people miss its about who can run faster and hit harder.

  6. if you can play safety, you can play running back, both are usually the same size, just depends on what you want to be.

  7. no . because you had to ask.people who know they can do something dont ask .......they just do it !

  8. The people to answer this question are your coaches, not some random strangers on the internet.  I will say that to play RB at the high school level, you'd either need to be incredibly fast, or have a major growth spurt before you hit Grade 10.  I played safety in high school, and I weighed about 140 my freshman year.  Of course, I didn't take the kind of pounding that an RB would, and I was also one of the lightest guys on the team...  So eat your vitamins--and hit the weight room!  It takes strength and toughness to be a RB.

  9. No, not at all. At your age, (I was 12 a month ago) people are pretty big and can tackle hard. Everyone thinks their big and strong and they all actually are. People can be underestimated. If someone my size (5'5", 145 pounds and still pretty quick and strong) tackled you you would snap like a twig. To be a running back you need to be about 20 pounds heavier, at least, and that's if you are elusive and a mostly speed runner (which means you need to work on your footwork). You also need to be able to break tackles, and it wouldn't be too hard if you were locked in a tackle situation where the other guy would just push you away further back until you fall and lose yardage. You have to be able to break right through the line and bruise the linebackers (pretty hard). And you need very strong legs. Your height is okay as it makes guys have to go a little lower to hit you. Go eat a lot more (healthy), start working out (not neccessarily weights, mostly legs. Weights can be good but don't use that as your main workout), gain some weight and get stronger.

  10. MAYBE IN ABOUT 12 YEARS

  11. absolutely as the sky's the limit

  12. Possibly if you practice.  Good luck and always stay low and run hard.

  13. well idn maybe in like a 12 year old league.....but wen u get to high sckool unless u gain alot of weight and at least 6 more inches then srry but no...u will get absolutely demolished
