  1. The Philips Voip080 is a Skype phone that makes VoIP calls over the Skype networks.  So it will do everything that Skype normally does, such as call other Skype users for free, or call landlines and mobiles at posted SkypeOut rates.

Keep in mind that it plugs directly into your PC USB port and makes the Skype calls over the Internet... it does not call directly over PSTN landline.... but can call to PSTN landline phones via Internet to PSTN phone gateways to reach landline phones and mobiles.

  2. of course you can...one does.t have to do with the other!

  3. Try www.skype.com/download first, free calls to all skype members and you can buy credit and dial any number you like all you need is a head/mike set. just a few pounds

  4. Yes. They will call any phone, mobile or land line, they are just not as cheap as calling another Internet VOIP phone.

P.S. You can get cheaper phones 'Skype' that do the same thing.
