  1. NO WAY!! living in the city is the best

  2. I think yes - there must have been something about the very rural town that attracted you to it in the first place. However I do understand your want to be closer to better shops etc. How about finding somewhere that's still a bit rural, but just isn't too far from a big city so you can get there easily when you want to shop?

I have lived in both, and to be honest the city living was yeah great for shopping, but the noise (particularly at night), the smell and not seeing anything green for ages on end, just outweighed the conveniences.

  3. well if you like the country, then its  a mistake because lots of country people are not suited for the city. i've lived in the city all my life, and ive seen some people try to fit in .. its tough. but if you like the city i mean its  a different story.

  4. Not at all. I just moved from the big city to a rural town where the only place to shop is a Wal-Mart and a Fashion Bug. I am going INSANE!!!! If you have the chance to move to a big city, take it!! I miss my city more than anything, and move back in a heartbeat if I had the chance. Have a great day!!!

  5. Well, if you're not a city-girl, it may be.  You will almost certainly feel some culture shock.

What you might want to do is try living in a medium-sized town for a few years and work your way to larger and larger cities.

Or live in a suburb just outside a big city.

  6. I've done a bit of both.I've lived in a lot of different places.Moved from a very small town in the midwest to los angeles and so on.I think if you are young and you want to have some fun and excitement, then  by all means go to a big city.Just keep in mind that the cost of living is higher, the crime is higher and people who 'seem' friendly and nice ,just might be after your stuff...when it is all said and done,I like living in the country better.I can't stand loads of people and  noise but I think in life you have to take risks and if you don't try it,you will regret it later in life.

  7. No you will love big city!!!  Especially if you like to shop!

Ive experienced both as although ive lived in big city all my life any holidays was were my family r from very very rural town and as much as i love the countryside big city's always wins!!!

  8. I did that to come and live with my now wife and next year we are moving back to where i come from, i suppose from your point of view there is loads of shopping to be done but as a parent it's not where i'd bring up my kids.

  9. I moved from a large city to a very rural area and most of the time I love it but I do miss the buzz of the city. The choice of shops, eating places. pubs etc but don't miss the violence, noisy neighbours, constant noise of the traffic.

I suppose what I'm saying is they both have good and bad things about them. Only you can decide if you will be happy. I thought at first I wouldn't but now I like my live out in the sticks and when it gets too much for me go for a jaunt into town and take in the sights and sounds.
