Each state is different on the laws (age) you can work.  You've posted this under Melbourne.

Its states for  Victoria::

"If you're under 15, you may be allowed to work in Victoria, but you must have a Child Employment Permit (CEP) from the Victorian Government before you can start."

no, you cant work no more than 25 hrs depending where u live, i believe. Just as long as you have a working permit (in NY)
