Would i get shot if i walk across the border?

I live in Canada and ive been to some towns that are right next to the American border. There are houses with backyards facing south but the front entrance is on the Canadian side, so their houses are technically politically split. If a person just took a stroll across the border, would they get shot and die?

no, they probably won't even notice. why don't you just walk over the border. i used to visit canada every weekend from new york and never once had a problem crossing the border.

no, they should be shot, but no... even the US/mexican border you can't shoot someone that crosses the border, they can only be arrested and deported.

if you don't have your passport or visa on you then you are illegally crossing the border, which we all know is heinous crime. jk, as long as you won't commit the real crimes go for it!
