Would i have to pay for it?

so i had a fight with this girl, she started it and before she started, she had threatened to beat me up or assult me and stuff, so that day after school she started a fight and she beat me up pretty bad and i had burises but theyre gone now and i had broke her cellphone after she beat me up and so the school punished her by suspending her for 5 days and now the VP is telling me i'll have to pay the cost of the damage i made of her cellphone!!!??! i mean.. if shewants me to pay for it, she could go to the court and get cops involved, right? would the school make me pay for the cellphone? and i didnt charge anything against her to the cops because she hadnt charged for the cellphone either and but now the VPs asking me to pay for the cellphone when school starts? i dont have money to pay for it and i dont know if the school can make me pay for it? pls help thx <3

The VP will probably try to make you pay for it. All you have to do is deny breaking it, and you should be able to get out of it.  Unless they can prove it... then you may be able to just refuse.. I doubt they will try too hard.

sorry but you are responsible for damaging her property, fight or no fight. if she asks you to pay for it and you do not she can actually take you to small claims court. I don&#039;t think the school can force you to pay her but you can do the right thing and pay for it.
