I think it would look great.

Make sure its professionally done.

And DON'T get it thinned. My friend had a bad experience with her hair when she got it thinned.

But the layers would look nice :]

I have my hair cut that same way but I don't poof up the shorter layers and I straighten it. The layers show really nicely when styled straight, and it doesn't look so ridiculous. I think that would suit your style more, if styled the layers straight up it would look as if you were trying too hard. :)

that's funny. i was about to get that exact same haircut!

actually, i did. lmao. but my hair is curly. and no matter how badly i wanted that whole, edgy, straight, multicolored hair, i couldnt get it. even with a straightener. haha. so instead i grew out my layers, and my curls loosened. so my hair is long, flowing, and curly. and im actually grateful that that haircut didn't work out.

long story short, if its what you want, by all means, go for it. but you might want to think twice. in my opinion, thats not really your style(but who am i to say!). i think you should grow out your hair really long, and get longer layers.
