Question:

Would i still have to pay my landlord rent even if he is evicting me in two months?

im getting kicked out of my apartment cus the landlord said that we broke some rules on the contract.....now he is giving me two monthes to find a new place or by the time comes im out on my ***...he came twice to me to pick up the rent so i jus gave it to him...is this right?.....and even if he is kicking me out next month do i still hav to pay him rent again?....help me out......

  3. Hello!  Unfortunately, yes. You do have to pay him the rent. You are still living in his property. You do not want him to take you to court over this matter, and he has the right to do so. At least he gave you two months notice. When you go to rent a new place, the new landlords will often ask the prior landlord about how good of a tenant you are, if you pay rent on time and take proper care of the place. You want to keep him on your good side to get a favorable review.  If you don't already know what rules of the contract you allegedly violated, then ask what they were. You can offer your side of the story and if necessary, apologize for the error. Be prepared for the new landlord to ask you about the contract violation. Don't bad mouth the current landlord to the new one. Selling out or kissing butt is sometimes a nasty part of life. It won't hurt you and could even help you in the future.  Good luck in finding a new home.
