Would ibuprofen gel stop pain from a cancerous lump ?

I'm pretty sure Ibuprofen is mainly used to help relax muscles.

If I was you I'd go back to your doctor and ask for some more advice because I assume you would already be taking medication so you need to know what else your allowed to take without over dosing on medication.

No, go and see your GP/Dr who will prescribe proper pain management, these kinds of gels, are rarely effective as they don't penetrate very deep and generally cause skin irritation.

It could take some swelling down around the area and help in that way, but pain wise probably not enough for you to tell.  Try a heating pad or ice pack (whichever you prefer)
