Would it be a good idea if Tony Stewart and Dale Earnhardt were co-owners of a Sprint Cup team?

*Dale Jr. recently said that it might make more sense to turn his Nationwide team into a Sprint Cup team since the costs to run a team would be nearly the same in either series.

*Tony Stewart wants to be affiliated with Chevrolet in the Sprint Cup series again.

*They could attract many offers from sponsors

*Tony could be one of the drivers while Dale Jr. finishes his driving contract with Hendrick

  1. Yes then one of them can wreck other DRIVERS and complain about GOODYEAR, while the other one saves FUEL to win.

  2. I do not think it would be good idea. Why ruin a good off the track friendship. You know the saying "Never mix work and play". Well, they are good friends off the track, so I think if they go into business together, and it doesnt go right , then there friendship is ruined.

  3. it wouldn't be the worse idea they are friends and all of the asterisks are true... nice idea, they could do that

  4. that would be amazing.

    They're both really great drivers.

they could make an awesome team.

& then maybe Dale Jr. would bring keselowski over to sprint too...& i'm sure he'd do pretty good too.

    :]

  5. I think it would be an excellent idea and would love to see it happen but we'll have to wait and see won't we?  they are good friends and would make great teammates and co-owners so i say go for it boys!!

  6. No doubt they would bring in the sponsor money, but down the line, there would be a clash of egos and difference of opinion. I would compare it to a Joe Gibbs/Jack Roush partnership, if you could imagine that.

  7. That would be a cool thing to see. Smoke back in a bowtie with jr motorsports. You may be on to something there....

  8. in think it will be great if dale and tony team up.... that team will be unstopable!

  9. Yes, I'd love to see a team I'd hate, considering I'm not a fan of either Jr. or Smoke!

  10. NO! We all know what happens to driver/owners, they suck. I'd rather see them both on the track doing what they do best.

  11. What pizza said. That will never happen. Jr likes to play in his free time, he wouldn't have any.

  12. no. it's better to be friends
