  1. Sure but.....what about places like Buffalo NY...where they may only see sunshine in winter like 2 days out of 30.

  2. It WOULD be a great idea--if only the initial cost were not so high. On a nationwide basis, the cost of generating electricity from ooal-fired generators is much higher--but the costs are spread throughout the nation. While to install solar panels is a cost borne directly by the individual. Bottom line: As long as people make lots of money by s******g up the environment and pretending that global warming and climate change is a fiction, we will continue to foul our own nest, and leave the mess for our children and grandchildren to clean up.

  3. If you can afford to subsidize the power that you buy from the electrical company with solar panels, then that is a very good idea.  In the long term, you actually save on energy costs, plus you can significantly reduce your carbon emissions and your impact on the environment.

  4. Yes, that would be a great idea! You wouldn't have to pay for energy ever again! There are a lot of alternatives. If you want, you may visit http://www.greenoptimistic.com. There you can find out more only about this subject.

  5. Only if it is used together with coal/nuclear...unless you want no power 80% of the time.

  6. Yes that would be a great idea! If you use solar panels, you won't give out any Carbon Dioxide which traps heat and stops heat from getting out of earth. it would be a great idea.

  7. yes i think it would,

  8. well, yes.

    just recently i've been checking out solar-powered gadgets online. did you know that there are backpacks and messenger bags with solar panels on the outside of them that you can wear around? the sun powers battery packs in the bag, which you can use to power small things.

    neato =)

  9. There is no such thing as a fuelless power source. All power (except tidal and nuclear perhaps) relies on the sun for fuel.

    Solar     Uses it directly

    Wind     Wind is generated by temperature differences of the        surface of the Earth caused by the sun.

    Hydro    Uses the force of falling water to drive a turbine. The water got to the height because the sun heated surface water to vapour causing clouds and then rain.

    Fossil fuels    Were once plant material. The plants relied on the power of the sun to grow.

    Geo-Thermal    Is latent heat left in the Earths core from when the Sun and the planets first formed
