Question:

Would it be a mistake to take 2 RB's with the same bye week?

I am keeping Marion Barber. I am draft pos. #9 and I feel the best available running back to me at this pick will be Clinton Portis. The problem is that they have the same bye week. Week 10. There will be a big drop off after him as far as top 10-15 backs as it is a keeper league. My next choice would be more of a low end top 10 or top 15 back. Any advice or thoughts? Should I just take him and try to trade later or take the bullet week 10. I figure by then I will either be a playoff contender or suck. Thanks!

  1. Not a good idea to take any starters with same week at a position.  The fact that its week ten is a possible excuse, but I would take the best WR or QB if there is not a value at RB.

If you take two RBs with the same week that means you will have to carry at least four.  I would rather have reserves with same week than starters.

If interest in an additional league, Im looking for teams. Two starting QBs and Live draft. A little different touch but not too much.

    To find:

FOX published free leagues, head to head, live draft, 12 teams. Name Aaron Farve on Waivers, Aug 14, 7:30pm

Yahoo Custom Free leagues, head to head, live draft, 12 teams. Name Sheephead Players, Tuesday Aug 12, 7:30pm.

  2. take the bullet in week 10

  3. i agree with K9 if brady or moss is there take one of them.  if u want a solid runningback with ur second round pick go with grant.  with rodgers starting there will be a heavier load on grant..which should produce him more yards and tds this year

  4. i say u keep barber. then with the ninth pick, get a guy like brady or moss. u already have a great back. now get a great qb or a good wr.

    peace...

  5. I doubt brady or Moss will be avalible at 9th pick, take Ryan Grant, his bye is week 8

  6. I would either take Randy Moss, who would be available, or take Portis and then trade for a back of similar talent.
