Would it be alright to put a layer of cat litter underneath CareFresh bedding for a Guinea Pigs cage?

Every time I clean their cage I have to scrub a LOT to get the pee stains off the bottom of the cage. Would cat litter work? Or would it hurt them? I have Esquisicat Cat Litter that I need to use up, so.... ?

Do not use cat litter. That can be very harmful if ingested by a guinea pig. Do as the other answerer suggests and use newspaper. I use it as cage liner and it works fine, as long as enough layers are put down.
