  1. this can go both ways.

used copies of the book (aka the cheaper books) are usually the first to go. so if you wait too long, you might be forced to buy books that are all new which is a complete rip off.

but sometimes people wait because they get to class and their teacher informs them that they don't need certain books or that certain books on the list aren't required.

overall and from experience, i think it's safe to get them ahead of time so you can get the used copies and hey, if your teacher says you don't need the book you can typically always return it. i know where i went to school you had 2 weeks after the 1st day of classes to return any books and get a full refund.

  2. Looking at your grammar and your (ur) spelling, I hope one of the books you are buying will be an English book.

  3. I think it’s best to buy your books before classes start.  For one, if you’re late, there may not be any more used books available, and you’ll have to go with the MUCH more expensive new books.  Second, you may not be able to tell within only the first few days if you’ll need the book or not.  As I discovered, many professors will give tests on both the lecture portion of class as well as information from the assigned book that you will not cover in class.  The first test may not be until several weeks in, and, depending on what school you’re going to, the books for sale may be put away already by that time.  Also, yes, there is a possibility of the book needed for the class running out of copies.  Sometimes, they may order just enough or a few more than needed for those who are registered for the class.  But, inevitably, there are those will have to add classes after the semester has already started, and may snatch up a copy of the book before the late buyers.

  4. If you go there as soon as you can then there can be Used books that sell at a discount. If you wait then you have to pay full price. I don't know what school you went to before but in college you actually have to study your books because you are competing against other intelligent people and not the dummies you went to high school with who didn't know a coup from a coupe.

  5. I always wait until I go to class first. There are some classes where you won't need your books right away, that will give you more time to order the books online for a much cheaper price, and some books might be optional, not required.
