I'm taking my basics at a Community College right now which are required whether I take their Nursing program for an Associates Degree or if I decide to transfer and go straight into my Bachelors Degree. I would like to know what you think would be best?

Thanks!

  1. I believe the bachelors in nursing would be a smarter move. Community college is a good way of saving money and it's flexible in case you change your academic plans. But either way, you could get the associates in nursing and continue on to get the bachelors.

  2. If you can afford to go ahead and get the BSN, do so. There's a booming business in programs for AD RN's to get their BSN, with a large number of nurses having had to get the AD for economic reasons but later wishing to get advanced degrees, which of course require they first get the bachelor's degree.
