Would it be cheaper for 4 to fly or drive together to Cancun?

From Indiana or Maryland (wherever we meet) to Cancun. It would be four people either on a long road trip or flying together. Thanks and God bless!

It is around 3500 miles to Cancun from Maryland and the gas and toll roads and motels and restaurants will eat your money and that is one way.  $120.00 just fir your FMT VISA

Roughly $750.00 for Gas--$100.00 for toll roads--$120.00 for four visas $30.00 vehicle permit $300.00 for Mexican insurance

Restaurants and motels $300.00.

Then you would be there and have to do most of it again to come back,

It used to be a practical option.

you should be able to get some pretty cheap fares, since tourism is down right now

plus driving in mexico can be very hairy. lousy rules and crazy drivers.

I definately agree with flying all inclusive trip.  My sister and I are going on inclusive to Cancun for the first time.   IF you are thinking of going in the next couple of weeks good luck.  Flights are really expensive $700-$900 per person (Memorial Weekend and Week!).   I didn't know when you were going though.  It is best to book atleast a month in advance.  It will be hotter June-August...but its up to what you like.  People have said best times are October-November.  

All inclusive means everything is paid...Eating, drinks (non-alco, and alco)  and certain activities and ammenities are included.  

Good luck..definately think Cancun is going to be worth it!
