I ate a tiny piece of food that was stuck in between my teeth and about 2 minutes later I remembered that i was fasting. So with that being said, did I already break my fast?

  1. If so the sin isn't as bad as your question.

    If not,, it is now.

  2. no -- you didn't break the fast. the amoiunt of food was less than the minimum, for eating

  3. Only if you ate the food that got stuck before sunset. The Orthodox may disagree, but most reform/conservatives would consider it a non issue.

  4. lol don't worry about it.

Whether it's considered you broke the fast or not, you forgot, it happens, just continue to fast until the end, that's what matters.

    Tsom Kal (easy fast)

  5. no and even if you by mistake break your fast you should still keep on going but if you have to take medicine you can have a certain amount of water but some pills (like my brothers ) you need to have food so my brothers doesn't have to fast because even on yom kippur because theyre very strong and its dangerous if he doesn't but only if youre doctors says you shouldn't so anyways no but by the time you see this question the fast should be over (its already over for me so i assume its over or almost over for you

  6. Brushing your teeth after every meal will prevent cavities and also prevent food getting stuck in the teeth.

  7. it less then a kizayis so you just finish the fast and this goes for all fasts

  8. No. Your intentions were not to eat. Look at how concerned you are. This shows you're intent on doing the right thing.
