okay so my aunt is adopting me because i dont want to live with my foster mom (my legal gardian right now) anymore. and it's going to take a couple of weeks for the papers and everything to go through the court. so, i was wodering since school starts soon if i can just be living with my aunt and go to the school where my aunt lives even though the papers havnt went through yet, or would i have to wait if the papers go through? how about if both my foster mom and aunt say "yes" to me doing this? please let me know. god bless everyone!

  1. well...this is a tough one.IF and only IF they both say yes.You can go.OR if your foster mom says no and your aunt says its ok.You would probably have to sign up for school AGAIN.Hope I helped!

  2. If they are in agreement to your adoption, and to the move then, YES you can go stay with aunt.

Congrats on the adoption. May your new beginning be all that you've wanted. :)

**Legal guardian WILL have to give some guardianship of you to aunt in order to register for school. Limited guardianship will do nicely until the adoption is finialized. Also, be sure they clear it with your social/case worker. So there are no misunderstandings.

  3. I am not sure of the legal ramifications, but if your aunt and foster mom both say it's OK for you to go ahead and live with your aunt, then I think it would be legal.

    Good luck!

  4. i think if everyone agreed it should be fine. good luck!
