"A mi encanta las manzanas?

If you want to say i love the apples? I was trying to check on the web but i found a website [studyspanish.com] that said it would be "Me encanta las manzanas."

My spanish teacher from last year told me that it is incorrect to say it without the 'a' is that true?

  1. Hey I'm  from Peru and now I'm in Peru so maybe u cant understand my horrible english.. well  there are 2 possibilitys  "A mi me encantan las manzanas" or just " Me encantan las manzanas"

That web makes mistakes cause is not "me encanta" es "me encantan" cause u are using plural "las manzanas".

  2. It should be  "Me encantan las manzanas."

encanta is wrong because las manzanas is plural so yu need to add the N in encantaN to match the plurality.

yu dont have to say the A. i think she just told yu that because it makes it more of a complete sentence.

  3. yes

it works both ways the a is for specifically you

  4. It is not correct.  You must say, "me encantan las manzanas."  WITH AN "N"!

you add the "n" because there is more than one apple.

Your teacher is right, however, it's more common to simply say "me encantan laz manzanas," instead of using the phrase "a mi."

"a mi" is unnecessary when you can just say "me."

    make sense?

  5. You would be understood but the sentence is incomplete.  It should be: "A mí me encantan las manzanas," or simply:  "Me encantan las manzanas."  And it is "encantan," you're leaving off the final "n."

    Good luck with your studies.

  6. I love apples is

    "Me encantan las manzanas"

    you can say too

"A mí me encantan las manzanas"

but "A mí" means "To me", then it's like to repeat, because when you say "Me encantan" , that means that you are the person that loves apples.

Anyway both ways are right. The second way is more suitable if someone asks "who likes apples?", in spanish "¿A quién le gustan las manzanas?", then you answer "A mí me encantan las manzanas", this way you give the pronoun more emphasis.

    Hope it helps :)

  7. no...

it's "a mi me encantaN las manzanas"

and you can say it without the "a mi."  it's like the verb gustar.  you can say "a mi me gustan los gatos" or simply "me gustan los gatos."  both work, although "a mi" would technically be better/proper/formal
