I am currently nearing my 17th birthday, and weigh 148lbs. This is an improvement, because last year - I was rather depressed and ended up weighing around 180lbs.

I have been exercising and within a year, I have lost 32lbs. I believe this is perfectly healthy, but it is getting to the point where I need to work twice as hard to lose the weight and I am developing a weakness seeing all the lies of the commercials on the television late at night. I understand many diet pills are not even suggested for those under 18 years old, and if diet pills are unhealthy - can anyone recommend to me recipes, or even exercises to help?

I walk everyday anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour. I do 50-100 sit-ups everyday, as well as do other little exercises with my body. I have been sticking with eating more vegetables (steamed, sometimes baked) and if any meat - fish such as salmon or tuna. And I only drink water - so what should I increase or decrease, exercise wise?

More cardio activities? Or increase the time I am exercising? Thank you!

  1. it seems like you have been doing a great job with out em. i would taLK TO a doctor before.

  2. It's getting harderto lose weight because you're reaching a fairly stable level. In the beginning you lose water, then fat. Now you're working incrementally.

You've been doing the right things, and approaching it properly.

There's no quick and easy way. If there was, everybody would know about it and use it, and the inventor would be rich.

Avoid fad diets, crash diets, diet pills, internet bargains and the like. They won't help you, and could very well hurt you.

Weight loss is achieved when you burn more calories than you consume... so if you eat less and sit around, you won't lose weight.

You need a combination of healthy diet and reasonable exercise to stay in shape.

And there's no such thing as "permanently" You can always gain weight back by tilting the equation the other way. If you want to keep weight off, you need to keep eating healthy and exercising.

High protein, low fat, minimal good carbs, and sugar-free liquids to keep you from getting dehydrated.

There are plenty of good nutrition sites on the web that can help you.

  3. Well, I've heard take it off easy, gain it back easy. So you could if you wanted to, but look on the back of the medicine, it should say "Contact your doctor if you are under ___ years of age". But I still suggest just running around your neighborhood. Eat lots of salad, and learn when your really hungry, and when your just bored. You should also eat some vegetable soup. You should avoid:

    Hamburgers/Cheeseburgers

    Chocolate(Although a little dark chocolate wouldn't hurt)

    Sugar

    Too many bad carbs

    You should eat:

A vitamin called glucose, often found in grapes

    Salads

    Fruits

    Vegetables

And you may want to lay a little excersize down like, maybe 45-50 situps in the morning, and another set before bed. Since you don't want to work some calories off in the morning then eat all day and gain more than what you burned off, and you don't want to gain off a little of the portion. I can tell you excersizing like this helps  you take it off and keep it off. Best wishes and good luck!!!

  4. Diet pills would be a bad idea. you should eat healthy, exercise, and ask a doctor about medicines and/or exercise plans etc. It is great that you are conscious about your weight, but be happy about your body too.

  5. While looking to shed some pounds myself, I saw this article on a blog written by this lady that after having 3 children just couldn't get back to her pre-pregnancy size.  I felt bad for her at first, but then she wrote about having discovered this great way to lose weight; the best pharmaceutical grade, non prescription weight loss product out there, stimulate your metabolism, supresses your appetite, reduces your cravings!

I immediately went to the site in her article and signed up.  They give a Free trial (just small shipping fee)  I actually loved it and continue to use it.  I get to eat the foods I love and stay fit.   I look and feel great.   Look at it yourself.

  6. from what you have told us, it sounds like you are pretty skinny already! "I walk everyday anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour. I do 50-100 sit-ups everyday, as well as do other little exercises with my body. I have been sticking with eating more vegetables (steamed, sometimes baked) and if any meat - fish such as salmon or tuna. And I only drink water - so what should I increase or decrease, exercise wise? " dont do any thing diffrent, you may not be able to see dramatic changes, so do 120 sit-ups and double your excersise!

youre great the way you are!

  7. What works for me is T-Lite diet pills ... you must follow their diet and exercise, but you'll lose up to 10 lbs in 3 days.

Last summer when I was taking them, I went from being 240 lbs to 205 lbs in 3 months. I didn't follow the recommended diet, or else I would have lost the weight faster. I'm 5'9" myself.

I stopped taking the pills when I went back to school, and I ballooned back up to 245 lbs - the most I've ever been.

But I'm taking the pills again, and exercising, and the weight isn't coming off as easy as last summer, but I'm down to 230 lbs.
