  1. the thames has very strong undercurrents so yes it would be bloody dangerous not to mention the armed police at westminater palace ( houses of comon ) shooting u

  2. The Thames has very strong under currants. Many drown caught out by the under tow.

  3. Yes. The water is very shallow at Westminster Bridge due to a gravel bar. At low water, you can see boats bumping over it and it is possible for a tall man to walk across the river from bank to bank

  4. Yes.  The water is very shallow at Westminster Bridge due to a gravel bar.  At low water, you can see boats bumping over it and it is possible for a tall man to walk across the river from bank to bank.

  5. Now, tell me, why would you want to do that? Lets be honest, its not very smart is it?

  6. Piece of p**s

  7. Can you swim?????

  8. No it would be fine!  Let me know how you get on!!!

  10. Yes. Take a look at the water. You'll notice eddies & whirlpools. The cahnces are that even the srongest of swimmers would get sucked under by the competeing current.

If you must jump into the Thames - and I wouldn't reccomend such idiocy - go up to somewhere like Oxford where it is neither tidal nor particulalry fast flowing.

  11. YES OBVIOUSLY

  12. yes esp at high tide, water is v swirly and before you body adjusts to the temperature you will be at Waterloo Bridge no doubt unable to get to the side.. At low tide it might be too shallow although less currents to sweep you away.
