Would it be feasible to make a piping system across the US that moved water to and from areas based on need?

I always wondered what the possibility of curing droughts along with relieving floods would be by using this method. Of course it would be more for the droughts than for the floods, but you can see how it could help both.

    Cost effective, no.

  2. Not really feasible. From year to year, the flodded area are different, which means you'd need piping everywhere. And mighty powerful pumps. And huge power stations to run the pumps.
