I had my baby via c-section 11 days ago. I had my suture taken out about 7 days ago and I feel like normal expect for the occasional soreness in the mornings. I know your supposted to wait 6 weeks before having s*x, but why couldnt I now? My bleeding is almost gone, like very very very little amount. I go to the doctor in a week and a half for birth control and Im gonna ask him then. But why couldnt I have s*x now as long as I was comfortable???

  1. You aren't healed after 11 days.  Listen to your doctor unless you want to get an infection.

  2. no, the sutures on the outside are not the concern, your uterus has a very good blood supply & was cut open several inches just a few days ago, if you pop those internal sutures you will start bleeding, possilby large amounts in a very short time, not worth the risk, wait a few more wks

  3. if you want to and are ready to go ahead and have s*x. I would make sure to use a birth control unless of course your ready for another baby.

  4. If you feel comfortable enough for it then do, im having my third c-section in October and im sure i had s*x before 6 weeks the last 2 times, just go easy obviously xx

Just get birth control asap before you find out you have another on the way, Lol. 2 in one year... Aaaah!!!

  5. I would wait you still have stitches inside and you do not want them to tear. 6 week is best you could even get an infection.

  6. I have 2 kids and did not make it past 4 weeks before having s*x.  You can do it as long as you are careful and it doesn't hurt.

  7. With a C-Section you can start having s*x sooner that with a natural birth.

They ask you to wait until your Postpartum check up to make sure that everything is healing and there aren't any abnormalities.

Its best to wait for that Doctor's appt, but if you seriously cant wait...

Just be very careful, no rough s*x =P
