Would it be fine to include the relevant information in my résumé?

Hi, I'm currently on my second year of degree and on my third year I will be working for an organization for a year WITH PAY under my University Co-Op Work Experience Program and this means I have to independently search for a job and do all the interviews myself.

Previously, I don't have any work experience. I have never worked in an organization before. The only experiences I had was working in a book shop for 5 days during my high-school 5-day Work Experience Program with NO PAY (it was a week program) and working at home for my father by packing goods and packages and again NO PAY. These two experiences do not seem very official.

So I've specifically come here for help to ask if it's possible to include these two materials in my résumé. What else should I be including?

  1. Yes, you can include those as work experience. Just be honest, don't try to embellish to make it look better.

Also, include any achievements or awards you have received in school. If you played sports, were in any clubs, or did other extracurriculars, include those.

I like to make my resume chronological, starting with the most recent work experience. Also, add dates (years) to the achievements and extracurriculars you list.

Oh, and be sure to keep your resume up-to-date.

Hope this helps you a little!!
