Would it be good for British identity if the Euro became stronger than the Pound?

The foreigners will obviously head into continental Europe. That's what I mean.

  3. Good point as when things are bad nobody wants to come here but holidays will be more expensive. In the 80s and 90s builders had to work in Germany as there wasn't any work here.

    Anyone who identifies themselves through negotiable & changeable symbols really ought to think about what it really means to be British - the French didn't stop being French nor the Irish stop being Irish because they introduced the Euro, many countries actually have a much stronger sense of 'self' since they joined the EU
